Jocelyn and I spent the last couple of days in Colorado for the NPL Finals. Unfortunately, her team didn’t make it out of their bracket but overall they played well. You win some, you lose some. For the most part, the games were all early in the day which left the afternoon for a bit of siteseeing which we tried to take full advantage of.

Speed Stacking
Been awhile since I posted last. What I can I say? Life gets busy at times.
Last weekend Jessica participated in a Speed Stack Tournament at her school. She had been practicing for a couple of weeks leading up to it. Overall she did pretty well. As a bonus, her big sister, Jocelyn, was a volunteer for the tournament.
Soccer + Cuban Food + Roller Skating = Weekend
This past weekend was pretty busy. Both girls had stuff going on. Jocelyn’s soccer team participated in the Hunt Valley Annual Soccer Tournament in Warrenton Virginia. The weather on Saturday was pretty nice. A little chilly but nothing crazy. Sunday on the other hand was miserable. 40 degrees was the high. The team did well though and ended up taking 1st place. On Saturday, they tied their first game and won their second game 5-0. On Sunday, they tied their first game and won their second game 5-0. Jocelyn had 4 goals and a couple of assists for the tournament.
I was happy the tournament took place in Warrenton. My favorite Cuban restaurant is located there and I always make an effort to stop by for a mojito and some steak.
After we finished up with soccer on Sunday, Jessica had a roller skating event with her Girl Scout troop. Jocelyn was lucky enough to tag along.
